Campsite Cancellation Policies

If the campground is open and operating as normal,
our standard cancellation policy applies:
If your camping reservation is cancelled more than 2 weeks prior to your arrival date, we will refund 50% of payments made.
There is no refund for campsite cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to your arrival date.

COVID-19
During this COVID-19 health crisis, situations, information and regulations are changing constantly. In order to protect ourselves as a small business, we have had to make changes to our cancellation policies. We ask that you consider these policies carefully before making any reservations.

COVID-related Closures:
For any reservations made on or after April 1, 2020, no deposit refunds will be issued if we are forced to close, either by order of our local government, or because of staff exposure. Instead, to honor our commitment to you, we will apply all received deposits to a future visit within 12 months of the originally scheduled arrival date.

Date changes are approved at our discretion and render all payments non-refundable.
F
ailure to show or early departures due to weather, fire bans, etc, will receive no refund.

Major Holidays
Major Holidays are: Valentine's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s, and the days immediately surrounding them.

All deposits and payments made for Major Holidays are non-refundable and all balances must be paid in full one month in advance of your stay.

Reservations made more than one month in advance, will be charged the remaining balance to the credit/debit card on file 1 month before your arrival date.

If you have made your reservation online within a month of your arrival date, our reservation system will charge you a 50% deposit and we will charge the remainder of the balance to your credit card as soon as we receive the reservation. (Usually the same day.)

Weather
Camping is an outdoor activity and Ash Grove is located in the Appalachian temperate rainforest. We get an average of 67 inches of rain a year. For this reason we do not offer any refunds or 'rain checks' for bad weather. Plan your trip with possible wet weather in mind. If you need tips on how to do that, give us a call!

No-Shows
If we have not heard from you by 7pm on your scheduled arrival day, you will be considered a no-show. All remaining nights of your reservation will be cancelled with no refund.

OTHER POLICIES

Pet Policy
Two pets are allowed in the campsites (occasional exceptions may be made--check with us).  Pets must be current on their vaccinations and on a flea control program. Pets must be on a leash or chain when outside the tent or RV, and under their owner's control at all times. Pets must not be a nuisance to other guests (e.g., barking). Pets should not be left unattended for long periods. Clean up after your pet.

Visitors
Our facilities are for our registered guests only, unless prior arrangements have been made. There may be an additional charge for visitors during peak times. Guests are responsible for their visitors' behavior. No overnight visitors. Visitors must leave by 9:00pm.

Parking
On our mountaintop, flat areas for parking are extremely limited. Stellar 1-tent sites are allowed 1 vehicle per site; 2-tent sites, Techno tent sites and RV sites are allowed 2 vehicles per site. Parking for extra vehicles is subject to availability and may be assessed an extra fee during peak times.

Amenities
Amenities offered are subject to change.  While we try our best to keep amenities in good repair, circumstances beyond our control sometimes prevent them from being available.  There is no refund or rate reduction in such circumstances.

Damages
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest, to Ash Grove's property or structures. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

Rules and Regulations

For the safety of our guests and our property & forests, all guests must read and adhere to the following:

Noise and Occupancy:

Please understand that we are NOT a party campground, nor do we cater to large group camping.
We have occupancy maximums in our tent sites and we expect our guests to adhere to them.
After 10pm, "What (noise) happens in your campsite, stays in your campsite". We don't expect guests to go to bed at 10pm, but please turn off radios and be mindful of how your sound might travel through the campground.
Note that if you are staying in the Techno Sites, there may be ambient noise from air conditioners, fans and other reasonable electrical appliances. We do NOT allow generators.
If all guests are respectful of these rules, everyone can enjoy the natural experience of our forest.

Rules for Everyone:

  • The speed limit is "Dead Slow". There are children, pets, and wildlife in the area.
  • Outdoor quiet time is 10pm to 8am. Excessively loud behavior is unacceptable at any hour.
  • Playground, badminton and horseshoes are open from 9am to 8pm. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent.
  • Parents are responsible for their children and/or pets. Do not leave them unattended and please do not let their volume disturb other guests.
  • No cutting or damaging trees. Do not collect any plant life or harm any wildlife.
  • No bikes are allowed in the bathhouse

Additional Rules for Campers:

  • No pets in the bathhouse.
  • No smoking in the bathhouse.
  • Please be careful of cigarette butts-dispose of them in your fire pit. Due to forest fire danger, smoking is not permitted on the trails.
  • Do not leave campfires unattended--even for a few minutes. Completely extinguish fires before leaving or checking out. We provide a water bucket which you must keep filled and by the fire at all times.
  • If your wood is too long to fit completely within the firepit, DO NOT USE THE WOOD.
  • Dispose of food in the trash cans provided. Do not throw any food or litter into the woods--it attracts unwelcome critters.
  • Do not place bottles or cans in the fire pit.
  • Do not move the fire pit.
  • Do not drive to the bathhouse. Bathhouse parking is reserved for Stellar Site campers.

Guests not adhering to the above rules may be asked to leave ASH GROVE immediately, with no refund for unused nights.
